Ornamental Decorative Box with an Emblazoned Brass & Ivory Elephant Motif

This gorgeous box is a conversation piece in itself, as the product(s) utilized in the making of this display of eclectic elegance, is superb. First off, the box is wrapped in Green Alligator skin with Brass, and weighty details throughout. The corner of the box is Brass and meets up to delicately, mitered edges, but inverted which gives it an unusual design detail, as is the lip-surround on the top of the box. The base is also Brass, with swooped corners onto a platform and floating to showcase the mainframe of this box and all it's flourish. Bottom and inset of box is inter-lined in black felt, which gives off added warmth and a functional element to this piece. The coup 'd'etat is the Brass and Ivory Elephant adhered to the front of this box. It is a stellar, and skilled, artisanal, work of genius. The Elephant ears are infinite, hammered details, while the patine-hewned elegance of the head is a timed, added element, down to the protruding ivory tusks. 
It is noted and we have to say this piece existed before the laws took effect in the U.S. in regards to the ivory rules/mandates set forth currently in this country.
